PEER MENTORING

Our peer mentoring service provides one-to-one support from trained volunteers who have been personally affected by road trauma and understand the challenges that can follow a road traffic collision. Whether you have been bereaved, injured, witnessed a collision, or are supporting a loved one, speaking with someone who has faced similar experiences can help reduce feelings of isolation and provide reassurance that you are not alone.

Peer mentors offer a compassionate listening ear, practical encouragement, and emotional support based on their own lived experience of navigating grief, trauma, recovery, and life after a road traffic collision. While they do not provide counselling, they can offer understanding, advice, empathy, hope, and encouragement, helping individuals to rebuild confidence, connect with support networks, and take positive steps forward at a pace that feels right for them.

Many people tell us that one of the most powerful aspects of peer mentoring is knowing they are speaking to someone who truly understands the impact that road trauma can have on everyday life. Through shared experience, our mentors help people feel heard, supported, and empowered on their journey towards healing and recovery.
