REFERRAL AND SIGNPOSTING

Everyone's experience of road trauma is different, and the challenges faced by individuals and families often extend far beyond the immediate emotional and physical impact of a road traffic collision. Through our assessment process, we take the time to understand each person's unique circumstances and identify any additional support needs that may arise during their recovery journey.

At The Road Ahead NI, we recognise that no single organisation can meet every need. Where appropriate, we provide fast, compassionate referrals and signposting to trusted specialist services that can offer additional support. This may include financial advice and benefits support, legal services, mediation and family support, mental health services, addiction support, bereavement services, advocacy, housing support, employment advice, educational support, and other community-based resources.

We have developed strong partnerships across the voluntary, community, statutory, and private sectors, enabling us to connect individuals and families with the most appropriate services quickly and efficiently. By working collaboratively with healthcare professionals, social services, schools, community organisations, legal professionals, and other specialist providers, we help ensure that people receive the right support at the right time.

Our goal is to reduce the stress and uncertainty that can often follow a road traffic collision by helping individuals and families navigate the services available to them. Through effective signposting and partnership working, we aim to provide a holistic support network that addresses not only the emotional impact of road trauma but also the practical challenges that can arise in its aftermath.

You do not have to face the journey alone. We are here to help you access the support, guidance, and resources needed to move forward with confidence and hope.
